When rebooting to upgrade the kernel the server were stuck in a manual fsck. The tech at the NOC rebooted it and it is now online again. This error is, however, shown when choosing 'Status' in WHM and restarting bind fails:

/usr/sbin/rndc: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libdns.so.5: invalid ELF header

Does anyone here know why this is happening and how to fix the problem?

    Thanks
    John

Did you custom compile a new kernel?

We reinstalled bind rpm and the problem disappeared.
