Hey there! Unless your machine is a single-core CPU system, that specific output doesn't look bad to me. That would indicate that MySQL is using 55% of one CPU core.

Do you see anything else in "top" that could provide a clue? Alternatively, if you stop the MySQL service for a few minutes, does the load quickly go down on the system?

Could you also let us know the overall load and the machine?

Thanks for the additional details. That load average looks fine to me - I wouldn't change anything. That shows the CPU is 91% idle, so it's not doing very much at all.

Are you seeing a specific problem with the server?

We generally don't recommend specific configuration options as those need to be handled by a server administrator, but everything seems to be running well on your machine from the details I can see.
