Problem in Installing cPanel & WHM

    Hi

    I have this error when I want to install cPanel & WHM in Putty


    ---------------------------
    PuTTY Fatal Error
    ---------------------------
    Network error: Software caused connection abort
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

    What is the problem?!

    It's noramlly due to bad connectivity or that some data packs between the server and the client have been lost.

    You should install cPanel using VNC or locally, this way you will avoid this type of problems.

    Also there's an alternative for this. It's called screen.

    The Screen utility will create a "virtual" terminal that will allow you to disconnect and reconnect without any problem, even if putty crashes.

    Howdy,

    I recommend running your install in screen if you feel that you might drop your connection to the server.

    It's low overhead and easy to install compared to getting Gnome/VNC going. yum -y install screen, then run the screen command. This will let you run a session that you can re-connect to if you drop using screen -x.
