I never use the Legacy any more so not sure how helpful this is, but have you tried another browser (or clear your browser cache) to see if this might be browser related?

I think this might be better if posted as a Feature Request.
Feature Requests for cPanel/WHM

What if the mail you opened was malicious in nature and you opened it inside the frame of WHM? I think this might be an issue. I'll have to leave that to someone more knowledgeable to answer I think.

Hello,

Which version of cPanel are you trying to downgrade to specifically? We'd need to know what version you are on currently and what you are wanting to downgrade to. We do provide downgrades to 11.30, since we have long-term support for that version due to FreeBSD machines not being able to update to 11.32

As for the issue being reported, are you seeing any errors in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log location? Wanting to downgrade simply because the trash isn't working might not be the most beneficial path to correct the issue, since the reason it isn't working may not be related to updating cPanel and instead due to some issue in the permissions or ownership of the file(s) and/or .trash folder on that account.

Thanks!
