    Problem installing Joomla via cpanel

My webhost ( provides the latest version of cpanel and while it appears to install joomla ok, it doesn't work properly.

The problem is that when I log in to the backend Joomla admin control panel, and try to create a new section, using the section manager - it doesn't work! i can go into the section manager and start to create a new section, but it doesn't allow me to type anything in the text editor box, and also clicking on the button to cancel and escape this operation doesn't work. !!! ????

Has anyone else experienced this with cpanel, and is there any fix? I haven't had this problem when I install it manually elsewhere!

Also, I have installed and uninstalled it several times with the same problem. Finally, I have also had the host site reinstall the latest version of cpanel and it still does the same thing with a fresh install of Joomla!

Any advice would be much appreciated.!

    Go on, have a guess
If your host can repeat the problem, then they should log a ticket with cPanel through their cPanel license provider to have it investigated and resolved.

This might be security settings on your computer blocking things. For example I use proxomitron to filter things and Joomla admin will not work unless I set to bypass. Setting the site in my bypass list solved it.
    Just a thought..
