I have root access to my server with cpanel (root-account, no reseller account)

via filezilla I log on with

    Port: 22
    ip: xx.xx.xx.xx
    login: xxxxx
    wachtwoord: xxxxx
    servertype: sftp using ssh2

After logging in I go to dir: /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html/

Once there here i want to upload a file (index.php) and i always get an error that says:

Status: Starting upload of C:\Documents and Settings\Bart\Desktop\bin\empty-pakket\index.php
    Command: CD /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html/
Response: Remote working directory is now /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html
    Command: PUT index.php C:\Documents and Settings\Bart\Desktop\bin\empty-pakket\index.php FALSE
    Response: /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html/index.php: permission denied
    Error: Upload failed

Permission on that dir is: 755 so that should be ok.

    Can anybody help me?
