problem while viewing a website via IP based URL

    hi,

    I have a problem while viewing a website via IP based URL

    http://myserverip/~username

    i have copied website through WHM & now checking ip based URL just to make sure that everything is copied.

    but only homepage is working fine for us

    inside pages are not working

    http://myserverip/~username/contactus.html
    http://myserverip/~username/aboutus.html

    Error
    Code:
    403 Forbidden
    Access is forbidden to the requested page:
    
    http://myserverip/~username (port 80) 
    Please forward this error screen to 69.myserverip.18's WebMaster.

    You might check the code of the main page that works, and see if the other page links are using the full URLs or relative URLs. Also you might check to see if the site is using some sort of htaccess to change the URLs which may be a problem.

    Copy an account from another server with account password

    but now getting error while viewing IP based just to make sure

    Hello crazyaboutlinux,

    It is very easy, just login to your WHM and follow the steps lke

    Here you will be able to both enable the protection, and specify any domains that should specifically be allowed to use mod_userdir.

    If the other pages are includes, then includes do not work with mod_userdir for any of the PHP handlers. You would be better off editing your hosts file to view the site at the new location to see if it is working due to the limitations of mod_userdir anyway.
