Dear all,
I have installed cPanel on my server. It's a VPS running Linux. The cPanel license was purchased a couple days ago. I did everything according to the instructions. After I finished setting up cPanel, I reached the page saying "In order to access the interface, you will need to make sure that the software license on this server is active and installed."
I went to License Verification - cPanel Inc. and checked for my ip address (66.85.140.229) and got a license of type "-INTERNAL-VPS", with the Updates Expiration set to `N/A'.
I therefore concluded that my license was valid and active. I went on to execute `/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt' and got an error:
The cPanel license server said that your license has been expired.
For more information visit: License System - cPanel Inc.
The exact message was: The license is expired. (66.85.140.229)!
I ran `curl http://www.cpanel.net/apps/myip/' and saw that cPanel servers resolved my IP address correctly to the same one as was on the license.
I then checked `/usr/local/cpanel/logs/license_log' and saw that cPanel license update failed by looking up the very first server:
Wed Dec 21 20:16:39 2011: Trying server 208.74.123.34
Wed Dec 21 20:16:39 2011: License update failed after trying 1 server
What is missing here? Did I somehow do it wrong?

Hello :)

It looks like the IP address you are using has an expired cPanel license:

You will need to ensure the IP address is properly licensed. If you continue to experience issues, feel free to open a support ticket so we may check further:
