Hello,

The service cpanel-dovecot-solr goes down in a few minutes and have to restart it. I get below message while starting the service.

root@server [/]# service cpanel-dovecot-solr start
Starting Apache Solr for cPanel Dovecot: Warning: Available entropy is low. As a result, use of the UUIDField, SSL, or any other features that require
RNG might not work properly. To check for the amount of available entropy, use 'cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail'.

Waiting up to 180 seconds to see Solr running on port 8984 [\]
Started Solr server on port 8984 (pid=22129). Happy searching!

I'm new to entropy issue as yum clean all ; yum update cpanel-dovecot-solr and other things didn't help.

Hello,

Is this a VPS? If so, check to verify that your VPS isn't reaching it's resource limits (e.g. look for fail counts in /proc/user_beancounters if you use OpenVZ), as it's possible the issue could relate to a lack of memory.

Thank you.

I'm sorry for being too late to update.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Yes, Michael. It's a VPS and it was in fact the resource limits issue that I've resolved now.

Once again thank you for helping me out here. :)
