    Hello ,

    I am receiving a lot of email like these ;

    ======================================
    Problem: Hello,
    Whenever those customers of ours who use Outlook 2003 (as opposed to Outlook Express) receive e-mail from us, the "From" field in Outlook systematically shows :

    From : foveb.hostname.server.net (actual sender)

    Is it possible to hide the "hostname.server.net" from the "From" field as several customers found it rather confusing !
    ======================================

    Why exim is using this on From ?

    Thank you!

    Log into WHM > Service Configuration > Exim Configuration Editor > Uncheck: "Always set the Sender: header when the sender is changed from the actual sender. (Unchecking this will stop "On behalf of" data in Microsoft(R) Outlook, but may limit your ability to track abuse of the mail system.)"

    Click save, and your done.

    Thank you . Is it not possible to deactivate this on a single user working on exim.conf ?

    Greetings,

    Nope..only for serverwide setting. There is not much options for limiting it to single domain or user.

    This option seems to have been put in without much fanfare...

    whats the pro's and cons?

    Ive got a fair few clients confused by it
