I've been running incremental backups for minths now. Yesterday I had major problems with a customer's account and ended up deleting it and re-creating it. When I restored the backup I realised that a lot of the files were out of date. The backup only seems to have only been copying new files that have been created rather than existing files that have been updated. Surely it shouldn't work like this? This customer runs a blog so I know that her main page will update almost every day yet the backed up one dated back to december when I started using incremental backups.

Fortunately I had taken a full backup of her account via Cpanel which saved the day.

It should not work like that, I would probably put in a ticket with cpanel as it sounds like something they should be aware of.
