Problem with ip assignment to multiple accounts

    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    When i assing an available ip address to an account,i cant assign the same ip to other accounts,it says dedicate to the 1st site i assigned it...how do i change this ?

    set it up as a shared IP
    via Basic cPanel & WHM Setup

    or via a are reseller Shared IP

    I would not suggest changing the main server IP to the IP in question every time you want to share an IP between accounts as was suggested. Please avoid changing the IP in WHM > Basic cPanel & WHM Setup area unless you really want to change the shared IP on the entire machine to that one.
