    hi,

    I have cpanel v.11 on Centos 5.0.
After installation of cpanel I done convert2maildir.
Next step was create new account with example domain example.com and create
    mailbox test@example.com.
When I run horde I don't see login and password field (only language selection and login button).
When I run SQmail and put login (test@example.com) and password I saw notice:
    Bad login or password.
This same situation I have with ftp account.

    Please help me.

You can obviously login to CPanel, so that username and password works.

In FTP, login with your main username and password, not the email address.

For the email, login to cpanel with your main username and password, and reset the email password and try it again. Remember your email username and password are case sensitive.

How are you logging into Horde? If you go through the /webmail interface of CPanel, there won't be a Horde Login since you are already logged into CPanel webmail portal.

You cannot bypass the webmail portal by default. You can link to horde through the portal like this:

    http://DOMAIN.COM:2095/horde/

However, that is the same thing as logging into webmail and clicking the Horde Button.

If you really want to bypass the webmail, you will need to add some Alias to httpd.conf or even go as far as to install your own installation of Horde or Squirrelmail and do away with the webmail portal completely (this is what I have done for Squirrelmail).

    mail:

I added the following line to httpd.conf
    Alias /mail/ /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail/

Alias is working properly, but when I put:
    login: test@example.com
    pass: testtest

    I received the following error:

    Unknown user or password incorrect.

    ftp:

    FTP is working properly, but:

    I added user test.

I have this user added to /etc/proftpd/example:

    test:$1$BXWNa8we$uKOI8kuLVuRkAmoDXcnx7.:32003:32005:example:/home/example/public_html/test:/bin/ftpsh

    and to file: passwd.vhosts:

    test@example.com:$1$BXWNa8we$uKOI8kuLVuRkAmoDXcnx7.:32003:32005:example:/home/example/public_html/test:/bin/ftpsh

Second line (test@example.com) is working properly.
    What is file /etc/proftpd/example?
    what does it mean?
