problem with ModSecurity

Hello, I get the following error when adding from rule "https://waf.comodo.com/doc/meta_comodo_litespeed.yaml".

Error: API failure: The vendor metadata does not contain an entry for your version of ModSecurity, “2.9.6”. The only versions of ModSecurity this rule set supports are “2.7.5”, “2.7.7”, “2.8.0”, “2.9.0”, “2.9.1”, “2.9.2”, and “2.9.3”.

How can I use this rule in ModSecurity ?

Hey there! You need to remove that vendor as it is no longer compatible with the modern version of ModSecurity. You'll likely want to add a different vendor, such as OWASP.

I'm not aware of any workarounds for that rule, as we don't provide that ruleset. Since that rule isn't compatible with the version on the server, there isn't going to be a way to activate it.

You could always reach out to the creator of the ruleset to see if they have a newer version you could apply.
