    Ok, I am setting up a new server and I think I have all the configuration correct.

    The problem is that anytime I try to create a new account, nothing gets added to the httpd.conf file?

    Anyone know why that might be?

    Not sure, but reinstalling apache may fix your problem.
    Also, check the group ownership for httpd.conf and make sure they are owned by root.

    Ok, I ran easy apache a few times and the entries now get written into the httpd.conf file. However, each time I try to add the first stanza, httpd fails....

    I tried to just manually enter my first entry...do you see any problems with this as the first servername entry:

    <VirtualHost [IPaddress]>
    ServerName h2.mydomian.com
    ServerAlias www.h2.mydomain.com
    ServerAdmin sales@mydomain.com
    DocumentRoot /home/dmchenry/public_html/h2
    User dmchenry
    Group dmchenry
    </VirtualHost>

    everytime I try that http fails.....This would be the only entry in the httpd.conf file. If I remove it, httpd restarts no problem.....

    Ok...I finally tracked down the problem. There was no "domlogs" folder on our system?

    This is a new install...how the heck can that be?

    Anyways, I created that directory and everything seems to be working normally now...
