Problem with transfering account using WHM

    Hi,

    I got this message when transfering from my current server to new server using WHM:

    "Unable to get uid of remote account"

    The transfer was attempted by the my server techical people.

    I too have received this several times when trying to move an account using the username and password

    Then, what do you do? Rescenter.

    Now I asked my server people to try to transfer the accounts again.

    You either need root access to the machine or you can do this.

    Download site backups database backup and filter backups.

    then add account manually and restore from backups. You will need to recreate any database users but email and password and everything else should be fine. Its a pain but it seems to work fine. I have done this on three accounts so far.
