Upgraded CPanel the other day. Only because of some notification when I logged into WHM.

This was a fatal, fatal mistake.

Now every process consumes 90% CPU without any explanation or reason.

We're down for 2 days, probably 3, since no hosting or CPanel people or me (server admin) can determine the cause.

The httpd processes just consume huge CPU by default now. What a great feature. That would come in handy, never.

My only hope is others have been tortured by this apocalyptic upgrade and know how they got their business back online.

Hello :)

I'm sorry to hear you have encountered a problem after the update. I've not seen any other reports of this issue. Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Thank you.

I can't edit the above post either. Some error about spam. God I hate the internet.

You might do best to open a ticket directly to cPanel Technical Support about this.

If you've already got a ticket open, whats the ID for it? I'll see to it that it gets escalated right away.
