    Hi,

Actualy I'm working with cpanel. all work fine, but i have a problem when try to use the button phpMyAdmin en the control panel. I see the error:

    "Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.11.9.5

The user name or the password is mistaken. The access was denied."

Someone can help me to fix it?

    Thanks a lot

Are you logged in as the actual user of the account or the owner/reseller of it? If you're logged in as a reseller to work on a clients account this is probably the problem. In that case, use PHPMyAdmin from WHM instead, you'll get right in.

To access phpMyAdmin, one of the following methods must be used:
1.) Via WHM, using root access.
2.) Via cPanel, using the username and password of the cPanel account.

If you are still getting error after following above methods then try :

    1) Login to WHM and change your account password from password modification .
Login to cpanel using this password and try to access phpmyadmin .
    or

    2) Reset your MySQL root password.
    or

    3) Check /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/config.inc.php and make sure it is configured coeectly.
    or

    4) Go to /root/.my.cnf and remove the quotes around the password.
Restart mysql and cpanel. (This one worked for me)
