Problems Registering Private Nameservers

    I read tutorials online that said to add ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com I have to go to WHM>EditDNS Zone> and put it there with A record and make it point to my IP. I did that and go to my domain registrar to update my nameservers with that (ns1/2.mydomain.com) and it says it does not exist. This was like 3 days ago and still says it does not exist. I'm on vps.

    This is what godaddy says when I try

    you have to register your name servers with your registrar
    NS1 IP
    NS2 IP
