problems sending emails through outlook

I'm experiencing problems sending emails through outlook from three email accounts with the same domain. Sometimes they are randomly sent but take a while to leave the outbox but most of the time a 0x800CCC0F error shows. The configuration used in outlook is the same for different email address with the same domain and are working just fine.
They can receive emails with no problem through outlook.
I tested sending and receiving through webmail and there's no problem here.
I also checked in whm and there are no emails queued.

What could be the problem ?

The error seems to indicated drop connections, so if you're connection isn't dropping packets or connections, then maybe it's Anti-Virus software interference as is suggested at the following link regard Norton Anti-Virus causing this very problem.
