Hello, I have a brand new cpanel install, just installed a couple weeks back, and freshly updated.

I just moved all my clients over to this server, and now I am noticing alot of mail not getting through. (almost none). When I send tests from my gmail account, I get:

    550-Response: 554 <unknown[209.165.243.174]>: Client host rejected: too many connections( 2 )
550-The initial connection, or a HELO or MAIL FROM:<> command was
550-rejected. Refusing MAIL FROM:<> does not help fight spam, disregards
550-RFC requirements, and stops you from receiving standard bounce
550-messages. This host does not accept mail from domains whose servers
    550-refuse bounces.
    550 Sender verify failed

bounced back to my gmail account.

I am getting word from many clients as well that this is apparently widespread for many of my users.

What do I need to do to fix this? (I have never experienced this before, and since this is a stock cpanel install, I don't know what setting would be out of whack)

    Thanks!

Are you sure your DNS and NS are configured properly? If yes, then run these commands at the prompt:
    /scripts/eximup --force

    Hi,

I too got a complaint from a client right now saying the same thing :-

    Wed 2006-07-12 11:36:26: <-- 550-Callback setup failed while verifying
    <nkoliarakis@newnaval.gr>
Wed 2006-07-12 11:36:26: <-- 550-(result of an earlier callout reused).
    Wed 2006-07-12 11:36:26: <-- 550-The initial connection, or a HELO or MAIL
    FROM:<> command was
    Wed 2006-07-12 11:36:26: <-- 550-rejected. Refusing MAIL FROM:<> does not
    help fight spam, disregards
Wed 2006-07-12 11:36:26: <-- 550-RFC requirements, and stops you from
    receiving standard bounce
Wed 2006-07-12 11:36:26: <-- 550-messages. This host does not accept mail

    Wed 2006-07-12 11:36:26: <-- 550 Sender verify failed

    Any solution for this ?

    Thanks

    Go on, have a guess
Looks like they failed sender verification. You'd need to check /var/log/exim_mainlog as to why.
