I am moving servers and was hoping to use the WHM/cpanel backup/restore functionality inside WHM to move my sites. But 75% of the moves I initiate via WHM arrive corrupted in one form or the other. Some problem sites I was able to create a backup from cpanel and then moved the file to the new server into the root directory and then restored them successfully. But this does not work with all the sites.

Both servers are cpanel 11 (current) and pretty much equal in setup (PHP, MySQL, Perl, Apache). I am not able to tell if the problem happens when the backup is generated or when the sites are restored.

Are there any log files that would help me to find out where the problem is? What else can I do to fix this? I have almost 100 sites to move - some large sites included.

No errors. The restore comes back all fine, but when you try to access the website(s) it is toast. I get blank pages or it does not work at all.

This particular restore resulted in a 404 - Page not found error.
