    Try from cpan shell

    perl -MCPAN -e shell

    cpan> install DBD::mysql
    and see if it works
    I hardly use the perlinstaller so rarely do i know about it :)

    force cmd unconditionally do cmd

    force install DBD::mysql

    Have you started getting this error after any upgrade? I remeber things getting messed up during one of upcp operations few days back in my case.
