    Hello,

    I am trying to use following php script

    <?
    zip_open( "/home/user/public_html/test2/test.zip" );
    ?>

    but I receive this error

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: zip_open() in /home/user/public_html/test2/test.php on line 2

    phpinfo() reports that ZLib Support is enabled
    (Compiled Version 1.1.3 / Linked Version 1.1.3 )

    What's wrong ?

    Thank you

    Installing zip support into PHP through Web Host Manager?

    I have also ran into this problem in which I need to reinstall php with support for zip. I have installed the zzip libraries (manually installing rpm) as required by the zip support and would like to use the Web Host Manager to install this instead of manually recompiling everything. The problem is that adding this support is not an option in the Web Host Manager for the "Update Apache" and PHP section.

    How might I make this option available here?

    If it is not possible to make this option available in Web Host Manager, then what is the best way to reinstall PHP, apache, etc with the zip support enabled, such that I don't accidently remove current settings of the web server?

    Where's the beef?

    I have checked off the option in the cPanel apache build to install the "Zip" feature, and I have installed these RPM's:

    zziplib-0.13.38-1.2.el4.rf
    zziplib-devel-0.13.38-1.2.el4.rf

    I also recompiled Apache & PHP just to make sure that PHP recognized the zziplib-devel. Also, a file with phpinfo(); in it states that PHP was compiled with the option --with-zip. However, when I run a script with zip_open I get this message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: zip_open()

    Anyone know how to solve this mystery? :) I have attempted the solutions presented in this thread, but unfortunatelty it did not solve my problem.

    Thanks.
