I am looking for a process to completely update a server (kernel and all server packages) and WHM/cPanel all via the CLI.

I'm using CentOS 5.3. After a bit of searching around I have come up with this process:

    • Update System RPMS using 'yum update'
      (Should I be using /scripts/rpmup and/or /scripts/rpmup2 instead?)
If there is a new kernel reboot the server to load new kernel
    • Update system files using '/scripts/sysup'
    • Update WHM/cPanel using '/scripts/upcp'

Is there documentation for performing all these updates?
Is there a better method for performing updates?
Am I missing anything for updating the server and WHM/cPanel?
