I have a gaming community that needs to have a remote mysql connection set up for their procon frostbite admin plugin. They have the db already made but the plugin needs mysql connection.

They need to use port 3306 and i checked my root config server firewall and 3306 is open. But we are getting a block somewhere. It wont connect to the db.

Im not sure where to look next. I know the ip is not blocked.

Anyone into gaming or familar with procon and its plugins or just general info, any input would help

    thanks

    Hello :)

Is the MySQL database hosted on the cPanel server with the connection coming from the remote server? If so, ensure you add the remote IP address to the "Remote MySQL" option in cPanel.

    Thank you.
