I use proFTPD and CSF firewall but I have a problem with secure ftp connection, what is prefer solution? sftp or FTP on tls ? I tested both but do not work neither

with sftp connection (I use filezilla) I get this error:

Error: Disconnected: No supported authentication methods available (server sent: publickey,gssapi-with-mic)
Error: Could not connect to server

and with ftp on tls I get this error:

Error: Failed to parse returned path.
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

    I partially resolved with TLS:

    I added in csf.conf a TCP_IN range with 50000:50100

    I added in proftpd.conf this PassivePorts 50000 50100

and I configured range port in my client ftp with 50000->50100

but it work with flashFXP and not with filezilla
