    Hello.
    I've got a problem when user uploads his php files, files are chgrp-ed to nobody, so suphp can't run them (using suphp) because of virtualhost user's group and nobody aren't the same.

    What can be done proftpd not to change uploaded files group to nobody, but to change it to users (uploaders) group?

    suphp_log: [warn] Mismatch between target GID (1015) and GID (65534) of file "/usr/home/user/public_html/index.php"
    Ftp server: proftpd-1.3.0_2

    If this is a FreeBSD system then the uploads will inherit the directories ownership.

    You can edit /opt/suphp/etc/suphp.conf

    change
    paranoid_gid_check=true
    to
    paranoid_gid_check=false

    And you will no longer get those suPHP errors.
