Hello All!
I am having a field day deleteing hundreds of emails in the last 24 hours ever since I changed the ServerType to inetd. I had the ServerType setup as standalone, but my bos would not reboot, and would stall at proftpd startup.
Here is what the emails said:
Subject:
proftpd on www.domain.com failed
Body:
proftpd failed @ Thu Sep 26 22:49:14 2002. A restart was attempted automagicly.
when I check my logs this is all I get:
Sep 26 22:49:14 proftpd: domain.com - Fatal: Socket operation on non-socket
Sep 26 22:49:14 proftpd: domain.com - (Running from command line? Use `ServerType standalone' in config file!)
Sep 26 22:49:14 proftpd: proftpd startup failed
Why the heck is is proftp so hard to deal with?
Any tips?
