I have a client that can not view no more than 2000 files in their ftp program, this server we are using pure ftpd, in the config file found here /etc/pure-ftpd.conf

    It has this setting

    # 'ls' recursion limits. The first argument is the maximum number of # files to be displayed. The second one is the max subdirectories depth

    LimitRecursion 2000 8

    I have changed this to 4000 12

and then restarted apache and then ftp but still he can only see 2000 files.

Is there something I am doing wrong here?

    Try adding the following:

    -L 4000:5

to the end of the following file.

    /etc/sysconfig/pure-ftpd

Make sure to add it to the last line. In this example 4000 is the number of files to view and 5 is for 5 levels deep.

It worked for me. Hope this helps.
