Pure-FTPd logs

Why does pure-ftp create so many idle connections? I assume it's to test the daemon and make sure it's online, but it fills up messages log file and is quite anoying.

Jun 5 09:44:58 corporate pure-ftpd: ([email protected]) [INFO] New connection from 127.0.0.1
Jun 5 09:44:58 corporate pure-ftpd: ([email protected]) [INFO] Logout.

i think this connection come from php or perl scripts

can you check the file on your server may some one use ftp connection function to his host on your server

so when php or perl connect to local ftp i think it will show localhost ftp connect
