Pure-FTPD Problem Please Help

    Hi,

    Pure-FTPD will not work what so ever.

    I've tried /etc/init.d/pure-ftpd restart

    service pure-ftpd restart

    none of which work, tried graceful reboot, the pure-ftpd update etc none of which work.

    I've got ProFTPD works great but doesn't suit my needs.

    This error is very presistant and annoying.

    I've been searching the net for the past hour trying to fix this any help of solving this is very much appreciated.

    What are the specific error messages generated, if any, when attempting to start and restart Pure-FTPd?

    What was the precise method and steps used to attempt an update of Pure-FTPd?

    I just get failed to start pure-ftpd

    I tried I forgot which method of pureftp updating it was something with

    "pup --force" I copied it off of the net and done forgot it put I think it had those letters in it

    As an alternative I would also try the following immediately after having attempted to start or restart Pure-FTPd:

    Please set a value greater than "0" (i.e., "1" or higher) for the Pure-FTPd configuration directive "MaxLoad" -- this may be adjusted via the following menu path in WHM:

    WHM: Main >> Service Configuration >> FTP Server Configuration >> Maximum Load for Anonymous Downloads
