I have a user who when logins with a specific user ID like specid@domain.com, 'home directory not available' message is shown. 'specid' dir. does exist and all the permissions are fine and all other user logins work.

Can someone please tell me where the user-login, user-dir mappings and user-passwords saved in cpanel.

    Bye

    Hello,

Check the /etc/proftpd/passwd.vhosts file and /etc/proftpd/<user specific file > .I think it will help you. let me know the status :)

i had the same problem when i moved a server.
The home directory was first in /home/website/user/public_html and on the new server it was /home/user/public_html ...
The ftp accounts was transfered and wasn,t changed to reflect the new directory structure...

I deleted the account and recreated it ;)

Thanks a lot. Just missed the naming part. 'proftpd' naming scheme being used for 'pureftpd'.

    Bye
