Add/increment the LimitRecursion variable in the pure-ftp config file.

Open /etc/pure-ftpd.conf in your favorite editor.

    Locate LimitRecursion.

    # 'ls' recursion limits. The first argument is the maximum number of
    # files to be displayed. The second one is the max subdirectories depth

    LimitRecursion 2000 8

Hope the comments in the file should be sufficient for explanation. The first number gives you the max files and second number the max sub directory depth. Change this is slightly higher value than what is required by your client. Restart pure-ftpd.

Yes it did ciphervendor, all i did was showed him the actual location. Sometimes newbies aren't able to locate files themselves. I still remember the first time i was asking questions here in this forum and had trouble locating files myself.

The credit for the solution is anyways urs dude.

    I have the same problem.

I perform all you say here.

    I still get:
    "
    226-Options: -l
226 Output truncated to 2000 matches
    ".

    Could you please help me?

I did it several times (from CPanel and manually) but unsuccessfully :(

I found one more config file /etc/sysconfig/pure-ftpd
It seems that this file used but I can not find there any 2000-related strings :(

Well we are having no luck. Here is what we have done and we continue to have a limit of 2000 files shown, any help would really be appreciated.
    pico /etc/pure-ftpd.conf
    change
    limitrecursion 120000 25
    save & close.

    pico /etc/sysconfig/pure-ftpd
    add: --limitrecursion 120000:25
    save & close.
    execute: service pure-ftpd restart
    also tried
    --limitrecursion 120000:0025

    And still same 2000 files.

    Can someone help with this?

    Hi jackal,

Would you mind posting how you did so? I'm about to make the switch from proftpd and I'd like to get it right before the complaints hit :)
