Purpose of --userbackup and --backup parameters for pkgacct?

    Hello :)

    1. The primary difference here is the name of the archive. If you use the "--userbackup" flag, you will notice the archive is named with the following format:

    Code:
    # backup-12.10.2014_10-14-50_username.tar.gz
    This is how it's named when generated by the user from cPanel.

    2. The "--backup" flag stores and names the archive appropriately for restoration from the backup directory on your system similar to the automatic backups generated through the cPanel backup script. EX:

    Code:
    /scripts/pkgacct --backup cptest01 /backup
    pkgacctfile is: /backup/cptest01.tar.gz
