question about "addon domain"

I have one email account on my addon domain(my addon domain is addon.com): [email protected]. Now i want to set up addon.com as an seperate account. How could i transfer the exsiting emails in [email protected].

Best thing is to backup the user's email in /home/account/mail/user , then create the new account, and move the mail over to the new location ie: /home/new_account/mail/user
