Hello,

I'm new in the field of hosting, I proceeded with a reseller plan but I want to run my own dedicated servers. I will buy licenses cpanel, WHM and WHMCS. I have a site (eg http://site.fr) I paid the year before I had my reseller plan, though I have dedicated my own, I will create the dns. How should I do to put one of my dedicated server hosters with site.fr in WHM? I think about putting the dns server on my cpanel account of site.fr, is it good?

Otherwise I'd like to buy registrars but I know not how it works to integrate it into WHM and creating websites. Fr. Com ...

if not enough to secure a cpanel server? for there is no intrusion, or that a customer can controlled the server?

Thank you in advance!

I am French I go to google translation!

From what you just said, you are in way over your head much more than you think and probably should not of tried to just directly to dedicated server machine. Working as a reseller and then perhaps your own small vps server can give you a lot of valuable and much needed experience.

Properly setting up a cpanel server once the Cpanel installation itself has completed takes a good 5 to 6 hours of hard heavy configuring work to actually get the server where it really needs to be before you should upload sites to it.

As for properly securing the server, that too takes a lot of very specialized experience in that field which is clear something you won't get by reading books or forum posts.

Setting up the server initially, I think you should probably hire someone to help you to make sure it is done properly.

I myself am very experienced with the security hardening part of setting up the server and there is also many other hosting and server administrators around here who I am sure would be willing to help get you setup properly with your initial base configuration for your new server.

Once your server is fully setup and properly security hardened, I think at that point you should then be able to manage and maintain the server for the most part by yourself without much trouble.

It is however that initial first base setup that I think you are in too deep way over your head and should not try to do by yourself.

Thank you very much for your reply, I have not yet purchased cpanel and others because of a dedicated server is rather expensive and more on a dealer I do not have access to everything. You're right, I would have found someone who could explain to me how a secure server A to Zou I would look on the internet.
Otherwise, it's you or I can find VPN (if it exists) at low prices, or there is cPanel and WHM with all the functions that I can train ...

Thank you again for answering :)
