Are there any negative consequences to removing Frontpage Extensions? Like for instance, I read somewhere that removal of them removes all .htaccess files, which would affect redirects I have set up. I have never used Frontpage so I'm not worried about that breaking, but I'm wondering specifically what other things like (but not limited to) .htaccess files may break after the removal of these extensions.

I removed FrontPage Extensions just the other day on our main cPanel server. .htaccess files are still working fine. Didn't seem to break anything....well saying that we are having issues with SSL.....hmmmmm....

    Hello :)

Your .htaccess files are not removed, but entries within them associated with FrontPage extensions are removed. Removing FrontPage Extensions does not alter additional content or services.

    Thank you.
