Question about wildcard SSL cert installation

I have an account in which I have multiple subdomains, such as "signup.mydomain.com, class.mydomain.com, etc".

However, for security reasons, I created each of these subdomains as their own account in cpanel. I did this because I want to keep the wordpress installation separate from the signup files, and that all separate from my actual online course.

Now, if each subdomain account has a dedicated IP address assigned to it, could I purchase one wildcard SSL certificate and install on each one? Or would have I have to purchase an SSL cert for each subdomain that I want to use?

Anyone ever done something like this before?

Hello :)

Yes, a wildcard SSL certificate is suitable for subdomains of a single domain name. It's okay if these subdomains are on separate accounts.

Thank you.

Thank you so much. Would I need to install it on each subdomain, or would just installing it on the main account work?

Yes, you should install the certificate on each individual subdomain via Web Host Manager.

Thank you.
