Where are you getting your security/update information from? I signed up for a security mailing list on the centos webpage, but nothing ever comes. The last time a new kernel came out I found out about it in my daily logwatch e-mail from my server!

    Go on, have a guess
    That would do it ;)

I've just installed my first CentOS server (a cPanel development server) and must say that it's very nice, especially since I'm used to RHE3 anyway. The yum mirrors are nice and quick too. The only gotcha I had on a minimal server build was that gcc wasn't installed which caused a little mayhem during the cPanel installation, but got it sorted out.

Sorry to babble in your thread :)

Ha, ha. Well, I coulda deleted it, since I answered my own question, but maybe someone else will wonder the same thing later on and they can find the list easier.

I'm upgrading all my RH9 boxes to CentOS. It works just like RH9 as far as I can tell. I like it!

CentOS is a great distribution - Its now our 'of choice' OS to install with cPanel and works really well - Upgrades from Redhat 9 are very easy and seem to be very stable too :)

Don't forget to donate $12 per year, per system to the project ;) Ok thats not required, but would be nice if you can support the project with a measly $12 per system running it :)
