Is it possible to use the 15-day test license on server that is behind a firewall that has a public static IP?

I will do port forwards to the server behind the firewall.

This test server is for educational purposes only to learn the installation, configuration and compiling of the server.

    Thank you,

    Veldon Lee

    Hello :)

That should be fine as long as your server is able to contact our license servers. You can use the following command to determine which IP address your server is connecting from:

    Code:
    lynx -dump http://www.cpanel.net/showip.cgi
You can obtain a trial license from the cPanel store:

    cPanel Store

    Thank you.

Well this test is going very well.

First setup a cPanel on separate computer behind an Untangle Firewall server with port forwarding with the necessary ports for cPanel. (This works really well and secure)

Second setup a cPanel on a Windows 2003 Server running in Virtual box with bridged IP setup behind an Untangle Firewall server with port forwarding with the necessary ports for cPanel. (This works really well and secure, plus it is easy to back up virtual cPanel VDI file just in case of failure)

cPanel has made lots of improvements to make things easier to configure and compile cPanel.

I would like to say to all the staff of cPanel for the good job and great work that they do.
