If you have ever used cpanel backup you will see that it creates a backup of certain directories.

    Those folders are

    /etc/proftpd
    /etc/valiases
    /etc/vdomainaliases
    /etc/vfilters
    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman
    /usr/local/frontpage
    /usr/share/ssl
    /var/cpanel
    /var/log/bandwidth
    /var/named
    /var/spool/cron

in addition to full account backups for user files and dbs.

    Greetings:

Thank you for your detailed reply.

The cpanel server we've been asked to work on uses pure-ftpd, so I take it backup /etc/pure-ftpd.conf rather than /etc/proftpd ?

    Thank you.
