    Greetings:

While I can no longer find the source post, I remember reading that /scripts/upcp (update cpanel script) requires /tmp to be not use noexec.

If I understand the code in /scripts/securetmp it makes /tmp nosuid, noexec.rw

Does this interfere in any way with the cpanel update script?

If so, what should the /etc/fstab settings be for /tmp so the cpanel update script will work?

    Thank you.

    Greetings Jonathan:

Thank you for your prompt answer.

To be concise, /tmp can be "noexec, nosuid,rw" and the cpanel update script upcp will still work correctly. Is that correct?

    Thank you.

No, that's not correct at all, upcp works just fine with /tmp mounted noexec.

Yes, it will work with those mount options.
