I have a dedicated server just for my own domains. Under security tweaks should I enable Smtp Tweak and Php open_basedir protection tweak? Is there any downside to enabling them?

    Thanks,
    Steve

I would def. put on the open_basedir as it helps to protect people who have set powerfull scripts as 777

as for the SMTP one you mentioned, That depends, I do not enable mine because I check everyone that I host very carefully, and I do other work for them, if your just into hosting sites, and people can sign up for your hosting online and automatically get an acount, then yeah i would enable it.

My opinion of your situation, enable open_basedir and leave smtp alone.
