When using 'Setup Remote MySQL server', is it exclusive or inclusive? I would like to offload a few heavy hitters to a dedicated MySQL server and want to know if this features allows the use of both localhost and a remote host.

    Thanks,
    Frank

The feature allows using both local and remote so long as the connection script puts the right configuration to connect, but any new databases will be setup remotely rather than locally. Basically, you would need to have the databases you want to remain local not copied when you move the others to the remote MySQL server and keep MySQL running on both machines. Any new databases will automatically be created on the remote machine.
