If I buy New Server! How many clients can i host?

Server Info!
Intel E7500 Server Board
1 or 2G Ram With Dual Xeon 2.4G
3 SCSI HD (Example with 73GB)With Raid 5
Cpanel & WHM

Can I host More than 1000 Clients(If My package is 50-100MB All Run MySql With Forum) Or If I can host More than 10000 Clients (Clients will use cgi & Mysql)

Stupid Question : Can i use One/two IDE HD to host Clients/Domain and use SCSI HD to Backup this HD run on raid 5?

You are asking for trouble. If you want to host 1000 sites that will all use forums and MySQL you need more than one server. If the sites are very traffic intensive you would be best with 10 servers and 100 users on each. I don't care how much ram and cpu power you have. MySQL will eat a ton of resources and limits you to how many sites you can host. You can accomplish 100 sites on a 1ghz system.

It's your choice but if you ask me you will be back here in a few months crying because your system is dead. Take the advice or leave it.

Yea good advice,
If the sites were static html or arent very busy at all then you could probably get away a few hundred sites, but if they are all mysql sites then you will definitely run into problems

You could put 20,000 sites on one Celeron box if the sites got 1 hit a month and it would do fine.

OR .. I know of one site that would take your proposed server to it's knees in 5 minutes and that's without mySQL

It's all about usage. But as a general rule if you go by what awsol said you should be ok.
