How long does it take, say, if I changed a clients domain from .com to .net for it to resolve properly. Knowing that the .net is already correctly pointing to my nameservers?

Should it be instant? If so, I've got another question. heh..

Should be instant, I would think.

I believe with the DNS TTL records, it can be anywhere from 0 to 60 minutes.

instant from where? misconfigured dns servers at large cable installations who shall remain nameless, can take up to 24 hours...
unfortunately, dns isn't uniformly propagating yet, but that has it's good points(errors can take longer to affect everyone)
