cPanel recommends " Quick Security Scan "

Security and Virus Scanning in WHM

Quick Security Scan
The Quick Security Scan feature in WHM (Home >> Security Center >> Quick Security Scan) scans for vulnerabilities, such as Trojans, on your server. We strongly recommend that you use this feature often.

When I run this, I got below error

Quick Security Check in Progress...

Note: You may see [FAILED] results below; These are normal as this means the service(s) were already shutdown.
Done.

What error? It's a "Note" as it suggests.

Before you ran the test, there was another message too:

If you see a [FAILED] error message, this means that the service was not running when the scanner tried to shut it down. This is not a problem, the service will still be prevented from automatically starting.
You're ok.

Could you elaborate further on what happens when you click on this option? Does it produce an error or does it simply hang?

Thank you.

I've already replied to you about this above.

The test completed, result was:
"Done."

There are services enabled by default with your operating system that are not necessary for most web servers. This function will disable the following services: portmap - Used by NFS to map network drives cupsd - Used for printing nfs statd - Used for NFS file system mounting. nis - Network information service gpm - Console mouse services If you see a [FAILED] error message, this means that the service was not running when the scanner tried to shut it down. This is not a problem, the service will still be prevented from automatically starting.
