I currently use CDP on my cPanel server. It does a backup nightly. This is great. What is not so great is when I have a customer who needs a more frequent backup or a longer retainment. Just to educate when you add a custom plan for a customer, you can tell it to ignore everything but the ones you need for them. However CDP doesn't ignore those uneeded folders and files until it is on the backup server. This kills your bandwidth and disk I/O is higher resulting in reduced life.
So I am looking at other options and one of them is StoreGrid. I am seeing a lot of mixed reviews. Their website is horribly jumbled and their pricing scheme is ugly. The features appear too good to be true
1. cPanel integration for customers to restore their data or immediate backups
2. WHMCS integration for managing custom backup profiles automatically
3. Disk level backup and restores
4. MySQL database restores
Is this really up to par? Seems there are no good screenshot of some of these features.
Thanks
Frank
