    I want to start using the RBLs to block at SMTP, anyone have any idea how to do this after the relayhosts check?

    I have the RBL ACL stuff placed after ...

    require verify = sender

    .. as pointed to by others, this works, but it is before the relayhosts check and therefore anyone in the dynamic IP RBLs is blocked even if they exist in the relayhosts list.

    I tried moving the RBL stuff to after the relayhosts check and no more RBL blocking happens. Tis a tad annoying to say the least.

    what you could do is apply the rbl check only to non-authenticated senders. This works pretty well.

    Here is example of SBL (Under the ACL section):

    # Exim 3 had no checking on -bs messages, so for compatibility
    # we accept if the source is local SMTP (i.e. not over TCP/IP).
    # We do this by testing for an empty sending host field.
    accept hosts = :

    #!!# Spam control starts here:
    deny message = rejected because $sender_host_address is \
    blacklisted at $dnslist_domain\n\
    $dnslist_text
    dnslists = sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org
    #!!# Spam control stops here
